Question

Could you please inform me whether it's permissible to accept clothes from charity organizations? I think that they gather clothes from all people and then distribute it among needy. So I don't know: maybe some bank officer or alcohol seller gave these clothes, and I don't accept it.

Am I right or it's an incorrect view?

Answer

n the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible to take clothes from charity organisations if one is qualified to accept charity, even though they may come from a bank officer or an alcohol seller [1].
