Qurbani Of An Animal Blind In One Eye

Question

Is it permissible to slaughter an animal that is blind in one eye but the sight is perfect in the other?

Answer

It is not permissible to slaughter an animal that is one-eye blind for Qurbani.

( ولا يضحى بالعمياء ولا العوراء ولا العرجاء التي لا تمشي إلى المنسك ) وهو المذبح ( ولا بالعجفاء ) لقوله عليه السلام لا يجزئ في الضحايا أربع العوراء البين عورها ، والعرجاء البين عرجها ، والمريضة البين مرضها ، والعجفاء التي لا تنقي أي لا نقيلها وهو المخ لشدة الهزال
