Making An Advancement Payment And Taking Goods Gradually Thereafter

Question

Is it permissible to make an Advance payment to a supermarket and then take goods slowly as need arises?

Answer

Such a transaction is called Bay’ul Istijrar. It is permissible to make an advance payment to the supermarket and the take the goods gradually as need arises.
