When To Identify The Type Of Discharge

Question

If you see white/clear but after that, you see dark yellow/light brownish (probably oxidized discharge) on the liner, what do you classify that as?

How do you determine whether it’s part of period vs oxidized discharge that’s not part our menstruation?

Answer

What is wiped will be taken into consideration, and not what is seen later on. This clear discharge will not be regarded as part of her Haidh.

امْرَأَةٌ رَأَتْ بَيَاضًا خَالِصًا عَلَى الْخِرْقَةِ مَا دَامَ رَطْبًا فَإِذَا يَبِسَ اصْفَرَّ فَحُكْمُهُ حُكْمُ الْبَيَاضِ ؛ لِأَنَّ الْمُعْتَبَرَ حَالُ الرُّؤْيَةِ لَا حَالَةُ التَّغَيُّرِ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ. اهـ. وَكَذَا لَوْ رَأَتْ حُمْرَةً أَوْ صُفْرَةً فَإِذَا يَبِسَتْ أَبْيَضَّتْ يُعْتَبَرُ حَالَةُ الرُّؤْيَةِ لَا حَالَةُ التَّغَيُّرِ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ.
