Azaan Of A Muazzin Who Does Not Keep A Beard

· 11 Muharram 1446 AH1 min readEnglish

Question

In our masjid, the muaddhin does not keep a beard, I need to know whether it is correct and if the adhaan is and accepted legal as per our Shariah.

Answer

The Adhaan will be valid but the Muazzin falls in the category of a Faasiq. He should be firmly instructed by the Mutawwalis to keep a beard and in fact sincerely repent for his deficiency in this regard.
