Can an abortion take place if a woman has been raped?
Question
Can an abortion take place if a woman has been raped?
Answer
Abortion in Islam is permissible only when there is an extreme need and on condition that the procedure is done before four months of the pregnancy has passed. As your question is regarding a case of sexual assault, Islam would regard it as a valid reason to have this procedure done.
And Allāh alone knows best
