Question

If Ghusl was not given to the deceased, can the Janaazah be performed?

Answer

There are six requisites for the validity of the Janaazah Salaah. In the absence of any of these, Janaazah Salaah will not be permitted. Among the six requisites is ‘Tahaarat’ of the body. If it is known (through some means) that the body (of the deceased) was Napaak, then performing Salaatul Janaazah will not be permitted.
