Question

1. Does the Takbeer-e-Tashreek need to be recited after the Eid Salaah?

2. Should one recite the Takbeer-e-Tashreek while slaughtering an animal on Eid day?

Answer

1. Yes, the Takbeer-e-Tashreeq should be recited after the Eid Salaah.

2. No, one is not required to recite the Takbeer-e-Tashreeq whilst slaughtering the animal, instead, one should recite بسم الله الله اكبر at the time of slaughtering as recorded in the Mubarak Ahaadith.

ولا بأس به عقب العيد لأن المسلمين توارثوه فوجب اتباعهم، وعليه البلخيون(قوله ولا بأس إلخ) كلمة لا بأس قد تستعمل في المندوب كما في البحر من الجنائز والجهاد ومنه هذا الموضع لقوله فوجب اتباعهم (قوله فوجب) الظاهر أن المراد بالوجوب الثبوت لا الوجوب المصطلح عليه، وفي البحر عن المجتبى: والبلخيون يكبرون عقب صلاة العيد لأنها تؤدى بجماعة فأشبهت الجمعة اهـ وهو يفيد الوجوب المصطلح عليه (الدر المختار و حاشية ابن عابدين 2/177)

عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: شَهِدْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَضْحَى بِالْمُصَلَّى، فَلَمَّا قَضَى خُطْبَتَهُ نَزَلَ مِنْ مِنْبَرِهِ وأُتِيَ بِكَبْشٍ فَذَبَحَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِهِ، وَقَالَ: «بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، هَذَا عَنِّي، وَعَمَّنْ لَمْ يُضَحِّ مِنْ أُمَّتِي» (سنن ابي داؤد # 2810)
