Question

Is it Sunnah to carry a Miswaak and comb?

Answer

Hadrat Aisha Radiallahu Anha narrates that Rasulullah Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam never left behind 5 items whether he was a resident or traveller. These items are as follows:

1. A mirror

2. Antimony (which is known as Kuhl or Surmah.)

3. A comb

4. A stick or staff (used for loosening the soil.)

5. A Miswaak

In conclusion, carrying a comb and Miswaak at all times is Sunnah.
