Question

If a husband during an argument with his wife, tells her, “Do you want to go your separate ways” and then has no relations with her. In fact, he hasn’t even touched, greeted or spoken to her for 3 months. Does it count as one Talaq and what should she do? Does she need to move out or separate from him?

Answer

A wife will not be considered to be divorced by the husband asking her whether she would like to go her separate way, even though he was not intimate with her for three months after posing his question.
