Question

Can a non-Muslim who is not in the state of Tahaarah, touch the “Qur’aan Made Easy” if it is gifted to him?

Answer

If the greatness of the Quraan Sharif is in the heart of the non-Muslim, and one is at ease that he will not show any disrespect to the Quraan Sharif, then it will be permissible to give him the Quraan Sharif as it is possible that he will be guided towards Islam by reading the Quraan Sharif. However, he should be informed that this is the pure speech of Allah Ta’ala and it is against etiquette to touch it in a state of Napaaki. Hence, if he is in a state of Napaaki, then he should take Ghusl, otherwise he should make Wudhu and study the Quraan Sharif. He should also be taught how to make Wudhu and Ghusl, and this will create the greatness and honour of the Quraan Sharif in his heart Insha’Allah.
