Reciting Quraanic Verses In Haidh
Question
Q1) Can a woman read the Dua for unseen help (Surah 65, Ayat 2-3) while in a state of Haidh?
Q2) Is there any specific number of times one should read the Ayah in order to obtain maximum benefit?
Answer
A1) The verse of the Quraan Majeed that you are referring to is as follows:
Fuqaha (Jurists) state that it is not permissible to recite verses of the Quraan Majeed while in Haidh. However, if the verses are recited with the intention of Dhikr or Dua, then it will be permissible, with the proviso that the verses have the meaning of Dua in it. The verse cited in the query do not contain the meaning of Dua in it, hence, it will not be permissible to recite it while in Haidh.
A2) No specific number has been mentioned. You may recite it as many times you can manage.
