What is the Kaffārah?
Answer
A Kaffārah is expiation for a violation. It is fasting for 60 days consecutively without any interruption for those capable of fasting. If one cannot fast, he will have to give monetary Kaffarah i.e feed one person one meal a day for 60 days or feed 60 people one meal or give the the cash equivalent.
Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
