Ghusl after pap smear

Answer

With reference to your query, please be informed as follows:

After an internal examination by a gynecologist, there is no need for a farḍ ghusl.

As a rule, ghusl becomes fard in a limited set of circumstances. These are:

After sexual intercourse

After the emission of seminal fluid

After menstruation

After childbirth, if there is no post-natal bleeding

After post-natal-bleeding

After death

Anything other than these six reasons will not cause ghusl to become obligatory.
