Question

Is the issue of photography and videography a valid difference of opinion? In other words, should we advise fellow lay people against photography, watching videos, Islamic TV' etc?

Answer

We do not see any difference of opinion. Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) had prohibited all types of animate photography and pictures.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
