Was Ali (Radiyallahu Anhu) born in the ka'ba?

Question

Was Ali (Radiyallahu Anhu) born in the ka'ba? Did he ever stand on the shoulders of Nabi (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) to destroy idols?

Answer

1. According to some reports, he was born in the Ka`bah. (Al-Murtadha, p. 49)

2. Yes. (Tahzeeb Khasaa'isul Imaam Ali - An-Nasai, p. 93 / Musnad Imaam Ahmad)

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
