Video game
Question
A non-Muslim had borrowed a haraam video game from me three years ago. He has now moved to another city. Do I need to make an effort to retrieve the video game from him in order to destroy it? Or is there another way around this?
Answer
If you can get it back then get it back, destroy it and make taubah.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.

Are video games permissible?
“Video games are impermissible due to containing music and pictures. By selling such items, a person is assisting and in fact promoting the disobedience of Allah Ta’aala, therefore all such games should be destroyed.”
