Question

I was reading salaah and just as I completed a thought occurred to me how people could claim to be God. I wondered how it was so easy for them to have uttered "I am God" while wondering I fear I might have subconsciously uttered those words due to lack of paying attention to my thoughts. I fear I might have committed a form of shirk unintentionally. I am panicking because I don't want to lose my Imaan. Please advise.

Answer

Don't pay attention to this. Make istighfaar and continue.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
