Looking through someone's personal files

Question

If I deliberately go through a persons personal file and see personal stuff about them. I then repent to Allah for my sin. Do I need to tell the person what I did and ask them for maaf too. They are totally unaware of it.

Answer

Yes, you should ask for maaf for invading his privacy.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
