Utilising money which was donated for the construction of a Musjid elswhere

Question

Can you tell me what is the mas'ala if someone gave a qard-e-hasanah for the construction of a masjid and after it's construction got canceled can this money be lent to someone for business proposes?

Answer

Since the money was donated for the purpose of building the Masjid and this has been cancelled, the money should be returned to the one who donated the money.
