Istikhaarah

Question

Do Muftis pray Istikharah prayer for fatwas that might lead to schism in Islam or cause hatred to other Muslim sects? Because we are ordered to stay united.

Answer

It is not the purpose of istikhaarah not to create any type of division.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
