Eating and drinking from chipped utensils
Question
We noticed slight chips on our teacup and saucer and dinner plate. Is it permissible to use these dishes?
Answer
Eating and drinking from chipped utensils or glasses is permissible. However, one should refrain from drinking from the place where it is chipped as it is possible that one could get cut.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
