What is ruqya and what is the correct method?

Question

What is ruqya and what is the correct method? What is the Shar'ee ruling regarding ruqya? Please advise.

Answer

It is a form of treatment. If permissible words are used with the right intentions then it is permissible. There are a lot of words of ruqyah that are contained in the Qur'aan and hadeeth.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
