Taking "the morning after pill" to prevent pregnancy

Question

Is it permissible to use "the morning after pill" (this is a pill taken after intercourse to prevent pregnancy, which must be taken within 3 days)?

Answer

This is not haraam, but neither is it advisable.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
