Missing jamaat Salaah due to one's parents

Question

I missed my esha jamat just because my parents wanted to go somewhere? For their happiness I missed it. However when I reached there, I went to masjid and prayed alone namaz. Am I sinful?

Answer

In future, leave them off at a time where you do not have to leave out your jamaat salaah.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
