Does the use of the following medical items break the fast?

Question

Asthmatic pump.

Nabulizer.

Drip.

Vitamin injection.

Dialysis which sugar patients use.

Use of oxygen.

Answer

Asthmatic pump, nebuliser and the little we know of oxygen tanks is that they break the fast. We are still looking into this. You may refer to other ulama. Drips and vitamin injections do not break the fast. Our knowledge regarding dialysis machines is quite limited. All we know is that it works in the same way as a drip. If it is like this then it will not break the fast.

والذي ذكره المحققون أن معنى المفطر وصول ما فيه صلاح البدن إلى الجوف أعم من كونه غذاء أو دواء (رد المحتار على الدر المختار 2/410)
