Using toothpaste that contains fragrance in ihraam
Question
While in the state of Ihraam, is it permissible for one to use toothpaste that contains fragrance?
Answer
If the toothpaste is processed (i.e. it undergoes a boiling process while being manufactured), then it is permissible for one to use it in the state of ihraam and neither damm nor sadaqah will be waajib.
However, if the toothpaste is not processed (i.e. it does not undergo a boiling process while being manufactured), then if the fragrance in it is not the dominant substance, as is the case with most toothpastes, then using it in the state of ihraam will be undesirable.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
