Will immature children be punished for not performing Salaah?

Question

This may sound like a silly question but it has always been wondering my mind: Are girls before menstruation and boys before wet dreams going to be punished in the akirah for missed salah/prayer? Also please add Quranic proof if you can!

Answer

When it is only compulsory at the age of puberty then how can they be punished. Parents may be punished if they do not supervise them and instruct them.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
