Question

What is the reason for the rise in crime?

Answer

There is no point in speculating what is the exact reason. Over all, the Qur'aan and Hadith speak about sins and transgression.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

ظَهَرَ الفَسادُ فِي البَرِّ وَالبَحرِ بِما كَسَبَت أَيدِي النّاسِ لِيُذيقَهُم بَعضَ الَّذي عَمِلوا لَعَلَّهُم يَرجِعونَ ﴿الروم: ٤١﴾

وَما أَصابَكُم مِن مُصيبَةٍ فَبِما كَسَبَت أَيديكُم وَيَعفو عَن كَثيرٍ ﴿الشورى: ٣٠﴾

وعن أبي هريرة أنه سمع رجلا يقول : إن الظالم لا يضر إلا نفسه فقال أبو هريرة : بلى والله حتى الحبارى لتموت في وكرها هزلا لظلم الظالم (شعب الإيمان رقم 7479)
