Question

Is it permissible to look at the Ka’bah Shareef during tawaaf?

Answer

It is permissible to look at the Ka’bah Shareef while making tawaaf, though looking down is better.

One should refrain from turning his chest towards the Ka’bah Shareef while making tawaaf. Turning one’s chest towards the Ka’bah Shareef during tawaaf is impermissible. The only time one will face his chest towards the Ka’bah Shareef while making tawaaf is at the time of istilaam.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
