Are women allowed henna for all occasions?

Question

Are women allowed henna for all occasions? As I've seen in weddings, gatherings or "just because" nowadays women apply it. Is it allowed?

Answer

She should beautify herself for her husband and the beauty is not supposed to be expressed outside the home.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
