Delaying hajj until one's parents perform hajj even though one has the means

Question

What is the Shari ruling regarding a person who has the means to perform hajj but delays it due to the reason that unless his parents perform hajj first he will not do it before them out of regard for his parents.

Answer

This is jahaalat and ignorance. A Muslim does not follow jahaalat. He follows shariah.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
