Repenting for one's past sins

Question

'If you start it with haram, it can never be blessed' Is it true? Is it true that the marriage can not last long if it was started in a haram way like sex before marriage? How do I make it work after marriage?

Answer

If you sincerely repent and rectify yourself and resolve never to go back to the wrong and you discourage others from all the types of wrongs and inappropriate activity, insha-Allah you will receive the barkat of nikaah like others enjoy.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
