Can an imam lead Taraweeh Salaah while looking at the Quran on a watch?
Published as Leading Taraweeh Salaah while looking at the Quraan on a smart watch
Question
Can an imam lead Taraweeh Salaah while looking at the Quran on a watch? As you know now there are smart watches. Those smart watches can automatically scroll the mushaf, so you don't even have to move or touch the screen. What's the ruling regarding this?
Answer
It is not permissible. If one reads from a Quraan or a phone, the salaah will not be valid.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
