Cleaning the baby with wet wipes

Question

Please advise with regards to wiping a baby's bottom while the baby is still in diapers. Is it sufficient to use the baby wet wipes, as it removes all visible impurities, or do we need to wash as well?

Answer

It is sufficient to wipe.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

إذا أصابت النجاسة بعض أعضائه ولحسها بلسانه حتى ذهب أثرها يطهر وكذا السكين إذا تنجس فلحسه بلسانه أو مسحه بريقه هكذا في فتاوى قاضي خان ولو لحس الثوب بلسانه حتى ذهب الأثر فقد طهر كذا في المحيط.... الصبي إذا قاء على ثدي الأم ثم مص الثدي مرارا يطهر كذا في فتاوى قاضي خان.(الفتاوى الهندية 1/45)

إذا مسح موضع المحجمة بثلاث خرقات رطاب نظاف أجزأه عن الغسل لأنه يعمل عمل الغسل كذا في محيط السرخسي.(الفتاوى الهندية1/43-44)
