Keeping one's lower garment below the ankles when going to work
Question
I heard that our pants/trousers/shalwaar/jeans/etc. should always be above the ankles. What if I normally follow this thing but when I go to work or college and because of what people will say, for sometime I dont follow it and once I feel they are not watching me I follow it again, is it a sin?
Answer
Don't worry about people. Be happy and firm on deen. There is no need to be overwhelmed or afraid of people and their impressions.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
