Living with a senile father in law

Question

My father in law can’t move by himself so he uses diapers but he always takes off his diapers in front of me and the kids even sometimes he passes urine without asking to close the doors. What should I do?

Answer

If his understanding is weakening and he is becoming senile then this is a natural weakness. You cannot hold him to account. You should observe purdah and block him off at that time.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
