Taking out ID and passport photos

Question

Photography is prohibited in Islam. But we have to bring photographs for passports and to submit forms, what to do?

Answer

Just as this is a requirement on an id document without which you cannot process your work. I suggest that you make istighfaar and taubah.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
