Leaving one's wife and children and working abroad

Question

I am always nervous and unhappy. Never getting success in job. I work abroad in Saudi Bin Ladin co. l send money to my wife every month but she is also not happy. There is no barkat in my house and in my salary. I have 6 children, 5 daughters and one son.

My son does not listen to his mother nor respects her. Now he started smoking hukka. l am very worried about all this. Why is this happening?

Answer

The purpose of nikaah is for the husband and wife to fulfil each others marital rights and to see to the Islamic upbringing of their children. Generally when the father does not live with his family, he will not be able to fulfil his marital responsibilities and nor will he be able to guide his children towards deen and inculcating Islamic values within them.

It is advisable for you to find a job in your own country where you will be able to earn a halaal livelihood to provide for your family as well as fulfil the responsibilities you owe to your wife and children.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
