Question

Is it permissible for businesses to have holiday sales that are not related to Black Friday or Christmas?

Answer

It is permissible. However, as a precaution, abstain from having a sale during the kuffaar festive season so that you do not resemble the kuffaar in any way and you do not come under the purview of the following Hadith:

Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) has said, "The one who adds to the numbers of a certain group (engaged in wrong), will be counted among them in the sight of Allah Ta'ala, and the one who is pleased with the actions of a certain group will be regarded as equal and part of them in their actions."

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
