Using the word "Saheb" when addressing someone
Question
Muslims used to name some Islamic scholars as "Sahib so and so". I mean, it is the title of the Englishman. Is it permissible to call them as such?
Answer
It is permissible. This is an urdu word and a title used for showing respect and honour. It is not specific to the title of an Englishman.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
