Question

Is it obligatory to have a sutrah when performing salaah?

In my training centre, the staff make sure the room I pray in is vacant and I don’t have a prayer mat - I just check if the floor is clean. Is this ok?

Answer

If there is the possibility of someone passing then it is emphasised.

Yes.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
