Giving poor people zakaat to dig a well

Question

Can I pay my zakaat to help poor people have a tube well (for drinking water), build a house for them or help a father to do necessary expenses for his daughter's marriage.

Answer

If the people are eligible for accepting zakaat, then it is permissible to give them the zakaat. After giving them the zakaat, they may use it for whatever needs they have.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
