Finding out who one's biological father is
Question
I am 60 years old and I just learned that my father was not my biological father. My mother is still alive and never told this to me. I learned about it this week from my sister. Should I ask my mother about. The man who I thought was my dad died many years ago. I love my mother and have a very good relationship with her. Please advise what steps I should take.
Answer
I feel that you should leave this out. You may ask your sister who is your biological father.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
