Question

Is there any special reward or significance for fasting on the 27th of Rajab?

Answer

There is no special virtue or reward reported in the Ahaadith regarding fasting on the 27th of Rajab.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم من أحدث في أمرنا هذا ما ليس فيه فهو رد (صحيح البخاري، الرقم: 2697)

ولم يرد في فضل شهر رجب، ولا في صيامه ولا في صيام شيء منه معين (تبيين العجب بما ورد في فضل رجب صـ 3)

لم يثبت في صوم رجب نهي ولا ندب لعينه ولكن أصل الصوم مندوب إليه (شرح مسلم للنووي ٨/٣٩)

وأما الصيام فلم يصح في فضل صوم رجب بخصوصه شيء عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ولا عن أصحابه (لطائف المعارف صـ 118)
