Informing the person after making gheebat of them
Question
If one has made gheebat or slandered someone without their knowledge, is it necessary to tell them about it and seek their forgiveness or can one just ask forgiveness from Allah?
Answer
If they don't know about it then seeking forgiveness from Allah Ta`ala is sufficient.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
