Working for an insurance company

Question

I have received a job offer from an insurance company. The job is a customer service advisor, the job consists of taking calls, dealing and helping with customer queries. My question is, is it permissible to work for a motor insurance company?

Answer

The entire operation of insurance revolves around the elements of interest and gambling. Hence, all insurance schemes and policies are haraam. Its is not permissible for one to work for an insurance company as one will be aiding and supporting the company in sin.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
