Policeman receiving extra money from the police station

Question

I am a policeman from India. In every police station there is extra income besides the salary. I do not do any corruption to earn this type of money but in the police station the administrative police staff give extra money to us without any demand or request. Is this type of money haraam or halaal for us?

Answer

If the money is coming from the state itself and the state approves of this and it is without any corruption and zulm then it is permissible.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
