Distribution of land
Question
My father left an agricultural land of 64 acres. We are 4 brothers, 8 sisters and a mother. How much acres will each brother and sister get and what is the share of the mother in acres?
Answer
Your late father's estate will be divided into 128 equal shares and distributed as follows:
Wife will receive 16 shares (8 acres)
Each son will receive 14 shares (7 acres)
Each daughter will receive 7 shares (3.5 acres)
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
