Giving dawah if a person does not have proper knowledge

Question

I want to ask you whether or not making Dawah is obligatory on me while I have no proper knowledge of Islam. If someone asks me about a delicate feature of Islam, like about women's rights, I cannot provide them with a structured answer. What should I do: should I make Dawah or not? If I should, how should I?

Answer

Refer the person to someone who has the knowledge.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Where scholars differ, it’s safer to take the more cautious view.
